Crab Chowder
INGREDIENTS
- 40 g of butter
- 40 g of flour
- 1 pinch of Old Bay seasoning
- 100 grams of chopped leek
- 1 small potato cut in cubes
- ½ carrot cut in cubes
- 100 g of canned corn
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 200 ml of clam juice
- Lime zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pack of crab meat Marina Del Rey
PREPARATION
- In a pot, melt the butter on medium heat, and add the Old Bay and the leak and cook for 5 mins.
- Clean the crab legs and put the meat aside.
- Add the potatoes and the carrots to the pot and cook for another5 mins.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the flour and cook for another minute, then add the clam juice, the corn, the milk and the cream. Cook for 10-15 mins until the potatoes are soft.
- Serve in a bowl and top with the crab meat, the lime zestand a touch of olive oil.
